甫草村是广东省台山市川岛镇下辖的行政村，在川岛镇大陆部分的东端，南面是广海湾，北面靠山。2003年川岛镇成立后，甫草村由广海镇改属川岛镇。 村子离去上、下川岛的山咀港不远，镇里把它作为生态宜居美丽乡村的示范村来建设，2023年以来又被评为广东省「百千万工程」典型村。
