莘村是广东省江门市台山市都斛镇所辖的行政村，地处镇东北部；东面的平原连着崖门口的黄茅海，与珠海隔海相望；北接古逻村，南邻下莘村，西面是山地。村委会设在莘村中街，离都斛圩约3千米，西部沿海高速公路的都斛出入口在村旁约1千米处。

在全镇各村委会中，莘村的人口居首，按镇政府2026年的资料有9个自然村、1225户、5123人。这里是台山的革命老区之一，抗日战争和解放战争时期是游击根据地。村里的稻田与下莘村连成万亩水稻高产示范片，台山中国农业公园的起步区「禾海稻浪」水稻田文化主题园也设在这里；2023年初，莘村入选江门市百条「红色美丽侨村」。
